The Dulles International Airport is officially lit up pink to celebrate the National Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C.

NPS says crowds cramming the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms have been even heavier than pre-pandemic, and they are warning visitors to avoid driving.

The Washington Capitals celebrate cherry blossom season with floral jerseys designed by a local D.C. artist and will wear them during game warmups on April 2.

One and a half million visitors are expected to descend upon Washington to admire more than 3,000 trees, and the city is ready.

With peak bloom expected possibly by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, the National Park Service is monitoring the low temperatures forecasted for this weekend

We're nearly there! The National Park Service said the Yoshino cherry trees around D.C.'s Tidal Basin have reached Stage 5, or "Puffy White."

With temperatures expected to hit the 70s on Friday, cherry blossoms could reach peak bloom sooner, according to The National Park Service.
