WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Nearly 150 million people around the world have lost or will lose their hair due to alopecia in their lifetime -- the effects of which can feel like a devastating loss of self. But the new documentary, "I am More than My Hair," aims to shift the narrative by reexamining beauty standards and embracing inner strength and outer appearances. Director Alyscia Cunningham discussed the project alongside film participants Nicolo O'Brien and Marguerite Woods.
