Concert Checklist: Know the rules on bags, searches before you go

Concert Checklist: Know the rules on bags, searches before you go. (ABC7)

After a snafu at FedEx Field Tuesday night at the Taylor Swift concert, 7 ON YOUR SIDE wanted to make sure you know the rules when it comes to bags before you go to her Wednesday night concert. Or any later concerts.

FedEx Field won't allow any large bags inside. You can bring a small purse that can fit inside a one-gallon sealable plastic bag or a stadium-approved clear tote no larger than 12 by 12 inches.

At Jiffy Lube Live, concert goers can bring bags and backpacks though they say all items are subject to a search. The venue does however say no bottles or coolers and lawnchairs must be no more than nine inches off the ground.

And at Capital One Arena, no bags larger than 14 by 14 inches will be allowed. No food or drink will be permitted, and cameras could be prohibited depending on the event you're attending.

All of the venues we researched said all attendees and their belongings are subject to a search, and that decisions about what is allowed could change, depending on the event.

So be sure to do your research before you go.

Download the free ABC7 News App and you can see more rules for other venues including RFK Stadium and Nats Park.
