7OYS: Halloween candy and the price we pay for eating it
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
With Halloween a week away, there will be no shortage of candy at home or in the workplace.
But before digging into the candy some experts warn of the health effects of consuming it.
Nutritionist say the candy can be addictive and by eating so much, the nutritional value is taken away based on all of the calories in the treats.
Ten pieces of candy can add up to a thousand calories, which is the equivalent of half the recommended calories required daily.
