WASHINGTON (WJLA) - In anticipation of the pro-Trump demonstrations on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police Department released a list of road closures in the District.

Rallies are set for the same day Congress gathers to certify the results of the 2020 Presidential election. The group Women for America First originally applied for a Jan. 23 permit but pushed it to Jan. 6 after President Donald Trump tweeted about a gathering on that date.

A "Stop the Steal" rally has also been announced for Tuesday night at Freedom Plaza from 5 to 8 p.m. Speakers expected include two Trump political advisors, Roger Stone and George Papadopolous, who were both pardoned by the president after they were convicted of federal crimes in Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation.

The no parking areas, along with the road closures, are also in effect for the dats surrounding the rally.

The group behind the Jan. 6 rally is the same group that organized both the 'Million MAGA March' and the Dec. 12 demonstration at Freedom Plaza. On both occasions, pro- and anti-Trump protesters ended up at Black Lives Matter Plaza, leading to fireworks being thrown at diners and numerous arrests.

The most recent event ended with officers being injured, as well as protesters being stabbed.
