The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting in Northeast that left a teenager hospitalized Friday afternoon, police said.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., MPD received a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Michigan Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 15-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds, officials said. He was conscious and breathing and breathing at the scene.

Officers determined that the boy was shot and then ran to the front entrance of a nearby recreation center. Streets between the 3800 – 3900 Blocks of 10th Street were temporarily closed but have since been opened.
There is currently no information on a potential suspect.
