The Capital City Go-Go’s hit the hardwood on Tuesday with a crowd of students from around the DMV cheering them on.

The kids got the chance to watch the game and in between the action learn more about Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM).

Over 20 schools were there for the big game against the Maine Red Claws.

Students were hands-on while making slime and experimenting with dry ice.

“My favorite thing I learned about dry ice is that if you put something metal on it and if it’s hot, you put it on top of the dry ice, it will start sizzling real bad and hurt your ears,” said Zion Copeland.

Copeland and his friend Dakota Young enjoyed the game and the STEM activities even more.

“We got to make slime out of two materials instead of all the materials you usually make slime with,” said Young.

Young said she learned a lot about basketball and STEM on Tuesday.

She said her STEM skills are going to help her reach her goals.

“You can use that to help graduate college,” said Young.
