DISCUSSION: We have another beautiful summer weekend on tap! We will warm quickly. It will get hot again as highs top out in the upper 80s and low 90s. However, it still will not be too humid, at least not by D.C. standards. Today will be day 9 of string of 90°+ days. There is a slim chance we could see an isolated pop up shower this afternoon, but I wouldn’t count on it. Sunday will play out very similarly with mostly sunny skies. The heat will really crank up starting Monday as we return to the mid 90s with heat index values near 100°. The chance for daily thunderstorms also returns with the start of the work week. It looks like most of us will stay dry Monday, but I’d have the umbrella handy, especially for Wednesday and Thursday. Have a great weekend!
