This Afternoon:Nice and Sunny Temperatures: 40s Wind: WSW 4-8 mph Overnight:Increasing Clouds Lows: 30s Wind: Light Saturday:Snow-Wintry Mix-Rain Highs: Lower to Mid 30s Precipitation: 100%

High pressure is slipping off the coast today creating warming conditions around the D.C. region (still slightly below normal for daytime high temps).

Sunshine will continue through the afternoon before more clouds increase ahead of our next system, which is racing from the southwest and moving northeast arriving to our area just in time for the weekend.

Snow will spread across the area tomorrow anywhere from 6 to 8 a.m. Minor accumulations (less than an inch on grassy surfaces) expected in the D.C.{ } area with a few inches expected north and west of the region. Temperatures will stay in the mid-30s for tomorrow.

A quick changeover to a cold rain will then happen with some freezing rain/sleet north and west of town through the afternoon hours. All locations will eventually change to rain and the system will move out by Saturday night.

Breezy conditions are on tap on Sunday with clearing skies and temperatures around 40 degrees.
