Clouds will increase during the overnight hours as temperatures slowly fall into the 60s. Mild and humid conditions will prevail{ } during the early morning hours and rain will develop in the mountains . With the exact timing still yet to be determined, the immediate D.C. area should remain dry for the early morning rush.

The front is poised to move west during the late morning hours and will bring thunderstorms, periods of heavy rain and gusty winds by afternoon. Although chances are low, tornadoes may be possible. Significant air travel delays are likely for D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and Boston. Rain totals may exceed over one-inch in a short period of time causing localized flooding.

The front will clear by evening and clouds will start to dissipate. Highs Tuesday will be near 70 degrees.
