We are in the warm sector and despite cloud cover, D.C. should warm up into the upper 60s to around 70 degrees.{ } Showers will be possible this afternoon, and then late today into the evening, a line of thunderstorms is expected to march across our region.{ } There is a slight risk that these storms will produce damaging winds.{ } Temperatures will plunge behind the front and it will become very windy. A wind advisory is in effect from 6p.m. until 11a.m. Thursday for the area.{ } Temperatures will drop as much as 40 degrees between today's high and tomorrow morning's low.{ } The highs will be back to near normal already by Friday.
