A potent cold front is dropping out of the Midwest and will bring us unseasonably cool and comfortable air by Wednesday.{} Until then, it remains hot and very humid.{} As the cold front inches closer, the risk of thunderstorms will increase.{} The greatest threat of strong to severe storms will arrive tomorrow.{} Temperatures will soar into the low 90s, but will feel closer to the triple digit mark with the high humidity.{} These ingredients, coupled with strong upper level dynamics, will fuel the fire for thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 60mph, large hail, and even an isolated tornado.{} The Storm Prediction Center has our area in an elevated risk for severe storms.
