A slow-moving cold front passing will continue to exit the region this morning. A few lingering spotty showers east of D.C. will taper. This will set the stage for fantastic weather. Aside from a few clouds, we will see abundant sunshine with cooler temperatures in the lower to middle 80s. The best news is that the humidity levels will be much lower with dew points—which directly measure the moisture content in the atmosphere—in the 50s. Speaking of 50s...that will be the overnight low for many of our suburbs west of town!
As high pressure, the source of the nice weather, settles into the region for Thursday and Friday, we will continue to enjoy terrific weather with sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 80s with comfortable humidity levels. There will be some changes by the weekend, however, as high pressure slides eastward and our winds become southerly. While we will see some sunshine, we will also feel an uptick in the humidity levels and run the risk of a shower or thunderstorm as a weak disturbance heads our way. The best chance will come during the afternoon and evening especially in the western part of the area. Have a great day!
