Washington, D.C. Weather Forecast: Playing that Song Again...
By Jacqui Jeras
This Afternoon:Partly Sunny with T-Showers Late Highs: Mid-Upper 80s Rain: 70% Tonight:Evening Showers and Storms then Cloudy Lows: Low 70s Rain: 20% Saturday:Partly Cloudy Highs: Near 90 Rain: 10% Here we go again today. A repeat of yesterday's weather performance. Isolated early a.m. sprinkles then cloudy with peeks of sunshine and then heavy downpours in spots late in the day. Does this look familiar? WJLA Room Cam in Arlington, VA For the first time all week, I have more optimism for the weekend. There is consistency in the computer models that the lingering front in the Ohio Valley is on the move and should pass to our south overnight. This would leave a stray shower south of the metro on Saturday, but partly cloudy skies elsewhere. An isolated shower or storm is possible, but not likely on Sunday, and then the front heads back north to start the next work week on the wet side. There is still some uncertainty on how far the front tracks, but it's looking promising. I've got a race on Saturday morning, and hate running in the rain. :) The temperatures will be warm in the mid to upper 80s. The Perseid meteor showers have been going on all week, but with cloudy skies I haven't mentioned it. Best chance to see some "shooting stars" will be on Saturday night. Have a great weekend!
