Warm and sticky conditions will persist overnight with lows in the 70s. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms may dot radar overnight. Temperatures will rapidly warm to the middle 90s Wednesday. Strong to severe thunderstorms will develop by afternoon - some with gusty winds, periods of heavy rain and frequent lightning.

Tropical Storm Arthur is on the move and is expected to become a hurricane by Thursday. If traveling to the Outer Banks, be prepared for delays and potential evacuations as the storm approaches. Saturday and Sunday look fantastic with abundant sunshine and highs in the 80s.
