Morning Lows

{ }

It's the earliest we've recorded 32 degrees at Reagan National in the past 7 years.{ } It is more typical of mid-December lows.{ } However, it felt worse than that with winds around 10mph.{ } Our "feel factor" was in the teens and 20s this morning.{ } Here's a handy chart where you can calculate the wind chill yourself.{ } The good news is that winds will drop off tonight and we won't have much of a feel factor for tomorrow. The temperatures on the thermometer will be nearly as cold, though in the low to mid 30s.{ } And that will be the end of it.... for now.{ } The arctic high pressure system that blasted into the East yesterday morning, will slowly shift towards the Atlantic and allow our temperatures to warm up a big on the return side....{ } meaning winds shift to the southwest and help drag in some warmer air.{ } Temps should be about 10 degrees warmer on Thursday in the low to mid 50s.{ } By the weekend, we will see a few more clouds, but temperatures should still be able to reach 60s.{ } Can't rule out a sprinkle on Saturday right now, but current thinking is that the best chance of showers will be Monday as another cold front gets near us.{ }
