Brrr!{} We can all safely say it now that the entire region has reached the freezing mark or colder.{} Here's a look at the morning lows today.

Morning Lows

It's the earliest we've recorded 32 degrees at Reagan National in the past 7 years.{} It is more typical of mid-December lows.{} However, it felt worse than that with winds around 10mph.{} Our "feel factor" was in the teens and 20s this morning.{} Here's a handy chart where you can calculate the wind chill yourself.{} The good news is that winds will drop off tonight and we won't have much of a feel factor for tomorrow. The temperatures on the thermometer will be nearly as cold, though in the low to mid 30s.{} And that will be the end of it.... for now.{} The arctic high pressure system that blasted into the East yesterday morning, will slowly shift towards the Atlantic and allow our temperatures to warm up a big on the return side....{} meaning winds shift to the southwest and help drag in some warmer air.{} Temps should be about 10 degrees warmer on Thursday in the low to mid 50s.{} By the weekend, we will see a few more clouds, but temperatures should still be able to reach 60s.{} Can't rule out a sprinkle on Saturday right now, but current thinking is that the best chance of showers will be Monday as another cold front gets near us.{}
