Today will be{ } the sixth consecutive day with measurable rainfall in D.C.{ } but I'm happy to say it should be the last for a while. A flash flood watch is in effect from Noon until 10p.m.{ } A cold front is approaching from the west and will bring in showers and isolated thunderstorms.{ } They will track from south to north like yesterday and a few storms will dump heavy rain.{ } The potential is there for an inch or two.{ } Use caution driving around this afternoon and especially after dark tonight. Don't drive over water covered roads.{ }

The cold front will pass by about midnight tonight and clouds will gradually decrease in coverage.{ } Plenty of sunshine is expected Saturday and Sunday both with lower humidity.{ } Highs in the low to mid 80s for Dad's Day.{ } Temperatures will start to heat up with increased mugginess on Monday.{ } Storm chances return late Tuesday through Thursday.{ } Today's fun fact if you haven't heard, is that it's not only Friday, the Thirteenth, but we also had a full moon this morning.{ } It doesn't happen very often and it will be another 35 years before it happens again.{ } It's called the honey moon or the strawberry moon.{ } Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
