Humidity will fall behind the cold front but showers are expected to return by the end of the work week.
A cold frontal boundary will continue to hang around the region today with skies becoming partly sunny through the day and the chance for a few showers and storms this afternoon. Temperatures will be warm around the 80 degree mark. Tonight, cooler and drier air will settle into the D.C. area with lows in the 50s in the suburbs to near 60 degrees in town.
Tuesday will be the nicest day of the work week with highs around 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The big difference will be the lower levels of humidity. A few added clouds are expected Wednesday with temperatures again around 80. Thursday will see increasing clouds ahead of the next system that will bring a better chance for storms Friday.
