A few light showers litter the region this morning, but all of it not amounting to much.{} An upper trough and surface cold front will trigger showers and a few thunderstorms this afternoon.{} We don't expect the widespread damaging winds like last evening, but a stray storm could produce winds in excess of 60mph, most likely along or east of I-95.{}This AfternoonThe cold front will pass the metro tonight and usher in cooler, less humid conditions, but it will likely stall and remain close enough to Southern Maryland to keep a chance of rain in the forecast Thursday afternoon.{} Friday and Saturday should be pleasant with slightly below average temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.{} Storm chances return Sunday and early next week.
