While I am pretty sure no one broke a sweat, the thermometer finally rose above freezing this weekend! While we are relatively "mild" this morning another arctic front is on the way! An isolated sprinkle or flurry is possible but will not be a big deal as the front pushes through. Behind gusty breezes another round of very cold air ushers in. Dangerous sub-freezing wind chills are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday morning with afternoon highs each day in the teens to lower 20s. Models continue to slide a coastal system up the Carolina coast bringing snow as close as southern Maryland and the Northern Neck, but right now it looks like it will be just far enough south and east for DC.
Progressively warmer air should take us back to normal (low 40s) for the end of the week. Stay warm and safe and have a great weekend!
