A big warm up is once again upon us this weekend with temperatures topping out in the mid 40s for daytime highs today! A steady increase in cloud cover through the day today with mostly cloudy skies during the overnight hours. Overnight lows will fall through the 30s. By Sunday, temperatures will warm up to the 50s, nearing 60 south of the region. Most of Sunday will remain dry but just after suppertime, that is when you can expect the first signs of this system entering our area. It will begin as rain and eventually change over to sleet (with pockets of freezing rain) and then to all snow by the post dawn hours. Accumulating snow and ice a good possibility around the region. It will all wrap up by Monday afternoon but the Monday morning commute will absolutely be affected. By the time Tuesday rolls around, bitter cold temperatures return and stick with us during mid-week.
