High pressure continues to be in control of the region leading to mostly sunny skies and chilly temperatures in the low to mid 30s. A few clouds will pass overhead tonight with lows back in the teens in the suburbs to low 20s in town. Temperatures finally return to normal levels for the end of the month with highs in the low to mid 40s on Friday. A frontal boundary will lie to the north to start the weekend but clouds will linger across the D.C. area, so expect Saturday to be partly sunny to mostly cloudy at times with highs in the upper 40s.
Temperatures may approach 50 degrees Sunday before a cold front moves through in the afternoon. A few showers will be possible late in the day with the front. Looking ahead to next week, Monday is looking cooler with highs back in the 30s. The next system is anticipated to move into the region Tuesday night and Wednesday with the chance for a brief mix changing to rain. As always, we'll keep a close eye on it as changes are likely this far out.
