Skies are gradually clearing behind the severe storms that left trees down, branches and limbs scattered and a numerous of power outages. We will have to wait and see if there were any confirmed tornadoes, though there were plenty of reports of funnel clouds and even tornadoes in areas around D.C. today. The National Weather Service has also classified the line of storms that moved across the mid-Atlantic early Thursday morning as part of a low-end derecho.
Friday will be partly sunny and comfortable with highs around 80 degrees. Saturday, high pressure will settle overhead making for sunny skies and a warm start to the weekend. Highs should reach the lower to middle 80s. Sunday will bring clouds back to the area with a warm front sliding in but temperatures should manage to reach the mid to upper 80s. A slight chance for a few storms will return late on Sunday.
