Air flow off the Atlantic Ocean is responsible for this beautiful Monday around the mid-Atlantic. High pressure situated SE of New England and an elongated area of low pressure moving through the area are will keep conditions, cloudy, damp and cool until sometime on Wednesday. While the rain will be light and more in the form of drizzle than anything else, it will keep surfaces wet and humidity levels high. Some sunshine and drier air will begin to spread overhead during the day on Wednesday…but it could be a very slow process.

High pressure will start to build back into the region on Thursday. As a result, skies will be partly cloudy with highs around 70 degrees on Thursday and again on Friday. Looking ahead to the weekend, with high pressure still dominant, we expect the weather conditions will be good to excellent. How about this outlook for Saturday and Sunday- partly cloudy and warm with highs in the lower 70s? Like that?
