Today is going to be a very chilly day as temperatures struggle to get out of the 20s. Our record low max for DC is 27 degrees set in 1934—we are definitely in the running to tie that or beat it. Plenty of sunshine out there today as high pressure is in charge but light winds. Overnight tonight won’t be quite as cold with temperatures slipping into the teens and to around 20 in DC. Partly sunny on Saturday with about a 10% change of a passing sprinkle or flurry across the region. By Sunday more clouds fill in and we warm up into the mid to upper 40s ahead of our next approaching system that will bring us a mixed bag of precip. It looks to start Sunday night as rain but when the switchover to the wintry mix will take place is left to be determined. Monday looks like a mess across the region and a lot of this forecast is location dependent. Everything looks to be out of here by late Monday night.
