High pressure is centered over the Carolinas today which will push winds out of the southwest and usher in some milder air. Highs should reach the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies though a few clouds may stream in from the west in the afternoon. Tonight will be mainly clear and cold with lows in the mid 30s downtown to mid 20s in the suburbs.
Friday will feature morning sunshine and afternoon clouds as a disturbance moves into the area from the southwest. A stray sprinkle will be possible Friday night into Saturday morning with the best chance south of town. Saturday will be mild around 60 degrees under partly sunny skies. Sunday will feature more clouds ahead of a cold front with warmer temperatures in the mid 60s.
