All good things must come to an end and the beautiful and refreshing bonus weather of early August is now a distant memory replaced by cloudy skies, intermittent rain showers, and ever increasing humidity. Temperatures will gradually increase as the week continues, starting in the upper 70s and lower 80s and topping out in the upper 80s by Saturday. It looks as if the wet and cloudy pattern breaks on Sunday; however, more showers are in the forecast for early next week. High pressure that was situated over us for the past several days giving us a northerly flow and suppressing the humidity has now slipped off the coast bringing a southerly flow (humidity) into the region. A cold front is pegged to move on through Friday night and into Saturday morning with high pressure building in for Sunday.
