Our longest heat wave of 2013 carries on.{ } Tomorrow will be very similar to that of today with high temperatures in the 90s, but with such high humidity, it will feel like the lower 100s. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the DC metro area and points east from noon through 8pm tomorrow.

A few stray thunderstorms will again be possible tomorrow, becoming widespread this weekend as a cold front moves through. The biggest issue with the heat now is that overnight temperatures haven’t been dropping below 80 in the urban areas, so it doesn’t allow the body to cool down. This morning and yesterday morning, we tied for the highest minimum temperature on record for the day. Highs will drop nearly ten degrees by Sunday.
