Here we go again: heat, humidity and just plain HOT! Heat advisory has been posted for the Baltimore, south to DC and continuing through Frederickburg and areas east starting at noon until 7 PM. This is where we will find heat indices 105+. I do believe though the heat indices in all locations will reach 100+. With that being said, an air quality alert is also in effect for the DC area: code orange. Sunshine today with temperatures getting into the mid to upper 90s. Only about a 20% shot of showers and storm through the afternoon hours. That will be the same deal tomorrow as well.

By Saturday, we start to break down this pattern. A frontal system will begin to drop from the north and make its way through our area. That will create a better chance of scattered showers and storms for the regionon Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. Some of those could be strong to severe. The chance continues, but lessens for Sunday. We continue with the clouds on Sunday and through the beginning of next week. Highs drop off to near normal with dewpoints (and the humidity) dropping as well.
