High pressure building into the region making for mostly sunny skies today. Highs make it into the mid 80s with a continued comfortable airmass over us. That will change through the evening as winds shift from the north and move in from the south, transporting more humid conditions into the region for the weekend.
Starting Saturday off with some sunshine but clouds will roll into the region a piece of energy floating through. This could create some showers and thunderstorms around the region. A better chance will be west of DC on Saturday and into Saturday night (about a 50% shot) while around the I-95 corridor, the chance of showers and storms will lessen to about 30%. Either way, I do think we will all see a good shot of some showers and storms for everybody through the day on Sunday. Temperatures this weekend will remain in the mid to upper 80s. A cold front clears the area by Sunday PM. Rapid clearing takes place with another comfortable airmass moving into the region for the first part of next week! Sunshine and low humidity with temperatures in the lower to mid 80s on Monday and Tuesday-but humidity returns for the end of the work week. Another frontal system will approach the area late next week bringing another chance of showers and storms.
