High pressure has moved into the area and brought with it, noticeably less humid. Unfortunately, this benevolent weather system will move out over the weekend. As a result, skies will be considerably cloudy over the weekend and there will be a chance of showers.
A stationary front stretched out between the Tennessee Valley and the Carolina Coast will play a significant role in our weekend weather. It now appears that a few disturbances will develop and move along that frontal zone and produce scattered showers in our area. Areas south of Richmond into North Carolina and South Carolina and eastward to the Atlantic Coast could see areas of heavy rain Saturday into Sunday.
