Today will be just about as perfect as possible for mid-August, with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable temperatures near 80 degrees. Tonight will be cooler than average again with lows in the low 50s in the suburbs to near 60 degrees in D.C. Saturday will be a touch warmer with highs in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. A frontal boundary will approach the region from the northwest on Sunday, returning the chance for storms by the late afternoon and evening. Otherwise, summer looks to return Sunday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 along with added humidity. Looking ahead to next week, an unsettled pattern appears like it will set up with daily storm chances and highs in the upper 80s.
