Tonight:Mostly Cloudy, Patchy Fog Lows: 50s Wind: S 3-5 m.p.h. Wednesday:Partly Sunny to Mostly Cloudy Highs: Around 70 to Low 70s Wind: S 4-8 m.p.h. Thursday:Mostly Cloudy, Rain Late Highs: Around 70 Wind: S 5-10 m.p.h.
A low deck of clouds will continue to move westward from the east coast while high clouds will persist over areas west of west of Washington. Patchy fog is likely west of Washington overnight but mostly cloudy skies will be likely elsewhere. There could be some breaks of sunshine tomorrow but think overall, it will be a mostly cloudy day. A weak cold front will slowly cross the area on Thursday. That’s why clouds will be increasing and there will be rain.
There are some questions regarding timing of the rain on Thursday. The rain could reach the metro area during the afternoon but we feel it will hold off until Thursday night…we will watch and adjust the forecast…as needed. Skies will partially clear on Friday. The weekend will be cooler with some sunshine for the metro area on Saturday and a bit more on Sunday. Right now , computer models show a weak disturbance moving well south of Washington on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s hope it stays well south and keeps the rain south, as well.
