Snowy morning surprises D.C. area

(WJLA) - It was a snow shower that just kind of hung around for a few hours – surprising almost everyone.

"I thought it was going to be a dust, but it turned out to be pretty consistent..." said Charise Hughes.

It was another round of snow for an already snow-weary D.C. area – big fluffy flakes that just kept falling.

And so once again came the plows and salt treatment for the streets. And as you saw people trudging through the wintry weather once again, you could almost sense the feeling: ‘Oh no, not again.’

"I thought it was going to be a brief shower -- but it's turning into another snow day," said Jessica Ferrera.

Not quite.

By early afternoon the flakes had stopped falling, which left behind a beautiful blanket of white. It was a bit more than we bargained for, but no major problems resulted. And as much as many of us would like for all of this to end, remember that spring is still several weeks away!
