A fast moving clipper will bring a quick hit of snow to places far south of town where they could see four or more inches. Less than one inch is expected from lower southern Maryland to the Shenandoah Valley. Finally, there will be just a few flurries around D.C. and points north and east.

This system will be zipping offshore by this afternoon, and gradual clearing is expected to occur around or before sunset. Tonight skies will be mostly clear and under a moonlit sky, lows will once again drop into the 20s.

Plenty of sunshine will be overhead from Tuesday through Thursday as high pressure moves into place. A nice warming trend will also occur during this time period, taking temperatures from around 50 degrees Tuesday to near 70 by Thursday. Our next system will bring a chance of showers Thursday night into Friday before high pressure returns for the weekend.

Have a good day!
