(WJLA) - Road crews in Virginia and Maryland are tackling snow covered side streets and neighborhoods Tuesday. as many side streets are still covered after Monday's winter storm.
Virginia and Maryland officials are warning drivers to be careful on side streets, when coming to a stop and when making turns.
As seen in photos sent to our Facebook page from around the area, there is virtually no bare pavement on these two Prince William County roads. And in Reston, one road is just a sheet of ice.
Meanwhile, in Chevy Chase, snow has just been pushed out of the way, leaving a thick coating of ice on many secondary roads.
Fuller Street in Columbia Heights was virtually untouched, as were the sidewalks around the former Ambassador of Spain's residence. North Arlington roads remain spotty with patches of slush and ice.
