We may be seeing the lasts vestiges of winter weather patterns in the mid-Atlantic. Extended model guidance support the notion we might well be facing average or above average temperatures for the rest of the month. In the short term, chilly breezes and susnhine will remind us it is still early spring today. But starting tomorrow, steadily rising temperatures will remind us more summer-like weather patterns lie just ahead.

Partly to mostly sunny skies are forecast into early next week. Temperatures will reach the mid 60s on Friday, the low 70s on Saturday and the low 80s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The period will also be dry. Fortunately, tree pollen is starting to decline. More troubling though is the liklihood these prolonged periods without rain will increase the danger of brush fires.

And I wonder how long it will be before I start to hear complaints of it being too warm.
