While we are not anticipating record level flooding or even severe storms, the continual threat of showers and occasional thunderstorms will be with us for many days to come. We are caught up in a weather pattern that is in no hurry to change. (For a great explanation on this “closed low” check out Devon Lucie’s blog.)
Expect mostly cloudy skies with showers and even a storm developing as the day wears on. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s with noticeably added humidity. Overnight we will have mostly cloudy skies with patchy fog and lows in the 60s. This pattern will repeat itself indefinitely with a bit warmer and muggier air taking the mercury close to 80 degrees. The sun could peek out from time to time, but don’t put your umbrella away soon. We are in this for the long-haul.
