Rain holding this afternoon and tonight with some pockets of freezing rain on the mountain tops to the west. Just expecting a trace of ice in areas. Temps steady this afternoon, in the lower 40s/upper 30s. Rain continues through tonight and tomorrow morning/afternoon. Already have about 0.50” of rain on the ground in the last 24 hours, could pick up another 0.50” to 1.00” in places by Wednesday afternoon. Another pulse of steady rain coming overnight tonight. Precip gradually clears out tomorrow afternoon. A mix of sun and clouds returns Thursday into Friday. A clipper system will approach from the North Thursday night into Friday but should stay to the north of the DC area. Weekend looking decent but cool. Another clipper system to keep our eyes on for Sunday night into Monday morning.
