      {}Winter weather advisories remain in effect and now include the metro. Here are the latest advisories:{}http://www.wjla.com/weather/maps/warnings/{}{}

      The afternoon will feature just rain for Washington, D.C. and it may be heavy at times picking up a good 1 inch of rain or better.{} This storm is very intense and will spawn tornadoes today in the Carolinas and heavier snow in the Ohio River Valley and interior parts of the Northeast.

      It will not be a good day for travel.{} Deicing delays were reported this morning at Reagan National, Washington Dulles, and BWI.{} Delays are expected through the day.{}

      The moisture should cut off overnight or early Thursday morning, giving way to windy and cool conditions.{} But, Thursday will be a drier day and Friday will be partly cloudy and good for travel also. Our next system arrives on Saturday and it could be a repeat of today.{}

      We will refine our forecast as it gets a little closer, but snow is a possibility.
