Saturday was the the coolest day in over a month with highs about 18 degrees below average for this time of year. Record minimum high temperatures were set at Reagan National and Dulles International airports.

Patchy fog and clouds will hang around overnight with lows in the middle 60s in the mountains to lower 70s in the District. Areas of fog will diminish during the early morning hours with brighter skies returning Sunday afternoon.

Hotter and more humid air arrives Monday and Tuesday with highs back into the 90s. Look for scattered afternoon thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain and gusty winds both Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
