      After a wonderfully warm weekend, the 60s will be fading fast.{} The cloud cover today won't stop mild temperatures, but it won't be as good as Saturday and Sunday.{} A cold front is approaching from the Great Lakes and ushering in a mild southerly breeze.{}{}

      South Winds bring in Warm Air

      That will bring our temperatures above the average high of 54.{}The showers should hold off until this evening, and then it will just be spotty and light in Northern Virginia and Western Maryland.{} The main rain will arrive overnight and Tuesday morning.{} A good 1/4'1/2" can be expected. Keep this in mind for the morning commute.{} Behind the front, it will become windy and cool again.{} Temps will drop back into the mid 40s for highs on Thursday.{}
