D.C. Weather Forecast: Sun gives way to clouds but mild; warm for the weekend
Today: Early Sun, Then Increasing Clouds
Wind: NE 5-10 mph
Overnight: Mostly Cloudy, Cool
Wind: ESE 3-5 mph
Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered PM Showers
Highs: Near 50°
Wind: S 5-10 mph
The front that passed yesterday surprisingly brought a few light showers but has cleared our area. Today will feature some early sunshine but clouds will be on the increase through the afternoon with temperatures around 50 degrees…still well above the average of 43°. A few showers return Friday as the large Texas weather maker slides north to the Great Lakes.
Sunshine then returns this weekend with temperatures much warmer than average, well into the 60s. Records should stay in the books at Reagan National (which are in the middle 70s Saturday and Sunday) but could be tied or broken at Dulles. We’ll have showers Monday and Tuesday with the next storm system approaching but once again with the storm track just a hair to our west, we stay on the warm side. Have a great day!
