Many people headed out the door early this morning and experienced temperatures that are average for early morning in the middle and end of May!

A cold front{}will put{}us back on track climatologically today. While the morning began with temperatures in the 50s and 60s, the afternoon hours will feature temperatures falling into the 40s...behind the cold front. This frontal boundary will move south and east of our area later today and tonight but probably not too far south and east. So we will turn noticeably colder over the next few days but cloud cover and precipitation will be a challenge to forecast. We don't see any periods of prolonged susnhine until Wednesday afternoon.

The end of the week will be sunny and seasonably cold and those conditions will likely hold through the weekend. Computer models are consistently simulating a much colder air mass across eastern Canada{}settling southward over our area sometime next week. We will keep an eye on that as it may finally be the atmospheric feature winter weather enthusiasts have been hoping for.
