The massive winter storm brought only 0.2" of snow officially to D.C.{ } It has been a daily record for rain with { }1.4" as of late tonight{ } It's still snowing across western Maryland with many areas closing in on 12" of snow.{ } If all the rain had been snow in the D.C. metro area, we would have over 1 foot of snow { }on the ground now.

Areas along the New Jersey coast will see winds 40-50 mph tonight and sure not what folks there want after Sandy.{ } Behind the storm our winds will turn into the north and northwest and be very strong Thursday.{ } Winds decrease Friday. The next chance for snow lovers comes Saturday.
