      Rainfall Forecast this Afternoon

Notice the pink freezing rain in Garrett county, Maryland and parts of West Virginia.{} Ice will glaze the roads there along with trees and powerlines, but for the metro, it's just rain.{} 1-2" will be possible, so a Flood Watch has been issued for the Metro Area. There will be some ponding of water on the roadways and smaller creeks and streams could flood.{} The rain will taper off after midnight with just a few showers lingering on Wednesday.{} Most of Wednesday will be dry with a brief warm up. Temps will reach the 50s Wednesday afternoon, before the second low swings in for Thursday.{} There will be some rain showers on Thursday and as the low moves to our East and the cold air ushers in, we could see a brief period of flurries, but no big deal.{} It will be much colder to end the week and into the weekend.
