It's a waiting the computer models have this one accurately simulated? Skies will remain cloudy today and a raw easterly breeze will keep it cold. Then later tonight, we expect an an area of low pressure to develop off the Carolina Coast. It is expected to move northeastward and rapidly intensify during the day tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan, our area will only be brushed by the developing storm. Light rain will develop overnight through most of the area. There is a chance sleet or freezing rain could develop well north and west of Washington. How far north and west... will be resolved later tonight. We will only be brushed by this new storm that may cause blizzard conditions across parts of New England.

Projected snow totals from our Boston colleagues at WCVB-TV:

Strong winds will develop later tomorrow in our area as the intensifying storm ploughs towards New England. It will be windy tomorrow night and Saturday. But the weekend will be partly to mostly sunny. Highs will only be around 40 degrees on Saturday but climb to 50 degrees on Sunday.

We will monitor the Nor'easter closely. Every now and then, Old Man Winter can throw us a curve ball.
