After picking up between a quarter of an inch to a half of an inch of rain overnight, much of the{ }wet weather{ }has stayed south of the metro area this morning.{ } Here's a gloomy look at our roof cam at WJLA in Rosslyn.{ }{ }

{ }Good napping weather!{ } As we head through the afternoon, another wave of rain{ }will move into the area and will stick around through most of the night.{ } We should pick up another 1/2" -3/4".{ } The front that passed through yesterday has stalled to the south and energy will travel along that front to trigger more rain on and off through Wednesday morning.{ } We should finally dry out Wednesday afternoon, but I think the clouds will persist.{ } If we are lucky, a peek of sunshine is possible tomorrow afternoon. Best chances west.{ } Thursday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, but by Friday, things definitely look brighter.{ }
