Ample moisture is in place and as a cold front approaches from the West, it will trigger some showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.{ } The storms are not expected to be severe.{ } We actually could use the rain.{ }{ }Washington, D.C. is down more{ }than 8" since January 1st.{ } The cold front{ }will pass to our east overnight and we should see improved conditions tomorrow.{ } Skies will become partly sunny for Tuesday and Wednesday with plentiful sunshine for the end of the week.{ } Temperatures behind the front will be cooler, but still above average.{ } Today's record high at Reagan National is 67 degrees.{ } We will be close to that this afternoon.{ } But, the rest of the week will have highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.{ } Average high is 48.{ }
