OK a quick update but our thinking about the Saturday "storm" has not changed.{ } Yesterday's storm now just east of Boston and dumping heavy snow into Maine.{ }

{ }After the long dry pattern we are now sure in a more active pattern.{ }The next storm is just beginning to form in the western plains and everything indicates that this will be a real fast mover.{ } Here is the latest simulations of the the rain/snow line Saturday morning{ }

{ }

{ }

{ }{ }That rain/snow line is still very close to Washington Saturday morning and everything points to a second storm forming off North Carolina and racing to the east so any snow will be with us for only a few hours.{ } Still hope snow lovers but likely only 1" of wet snow in the general area.{ } We'll keep you posted.
